TEAM DESIGN
Northeast Collaborative Architects is a "Team Driven" firm. Our professionals participate in a dynamic, collaborative process of design rather than adhering to a particular stylistic school of architecture. This approach allows us to meet design challenges for a variety of projects reaching consensus for a shared vision. Careful consideration is given to setting and context; how a site will relate to the community; and how the building will function and meet its sustainability goals.
DESIGN QUALITY
Design quality is measured by three major variables: aesthetics, functional adherence to the Owner's requirements, and constructibility. We believe our work speaks for itself when it comes to aesthetic quality. With over 95 awards for design quality we are measured positively by our peers and experts in the profession. We also strive to understand our owner's functional requirements If a building doesn't meet its work flow, livability, or functional needs it doesn't meet our requirements as a successful building. Lastly, a well-designed building will be built with a minimum of changes and on a timeline that meets it's Owners needs.
RESPONSIBLE DESIGN
As responsible designers it is our goal to make our designs as sustainable and energy efficient as possible. Whether or not a project is slated as a "green design" NCA will work to ensure that it meets the highest level of sustainability achievable for the proposed budget. Responsible design reflects itself in energy efficiency, economical use of non-sustainable resources, and a commitment to utilize materials which can achieve measurable sustainability. |
