Lyme/Old Lyme High School Under Construction! The Renovations and Additions to Lyme/Old Lyme High School, designed by Northeast Collaborative Architects, is finally under construction. The $47,900,000 renovation and addition project is projected to be completed in 2013 after 32 months of construction. O&G Industries, the Construction Manager, has orchestrated a multi-phase project deftly constructing a virtual new building around a student population of 450. The project entails a new skinwall and roof for the existing buildings along with a virtual gutting of all operating systems. A new addition will connect the independent structures and provide a new student commons and cafeteria linking the buildings while providing a secure entry and instant access to administrative services. |

Keene, New Hampshire Fire Station NCA has been working with the City of Keene, New Hampshire for the past 11 years, starting with the design of its new Public Works facility and Police Headquarters. The most recent project, the Central Fire Station, is located across the street from their present 80-year old facility in the Central Business District and is in the Historic District. The facility is designed to complement the various historic styles of downtown Keene, while providing state-of-the-art communications and fire response services. The site requires substantial preparation with geopiers due to soil conditions and the seismic design requires more than 2 times the amount of steel than a conventional building. Construction completion is scheduled for June 2012. |
