Philosophy
The professional staff of the Newport Collaborative Architects, Inc. (NCA) participates in a dynamic, collaborative process of design, rather than adhering to any particular stylistic school of architecture. This approach allows us to meet the design challenges of a variety of projects and, as needed, to successfully involve the community, reaching consensus for a shared vision or plan.
Design
NCA is a full-service firm offering original design with a genuine sensitivity to the client's intentions. Since the firm's beginning in 1981, our diverse team of design and planning professionals has worked skillfully with the client to produce imaginative and innovative project solutions. We enthusiastically approach each new project as an opportunity to enhance the balance and harmony of our surroundings. To date, NCA has received over 70 design awards.
Collaboration
Each new project is assigned to one of the firm's four principals who oversees the continuity and quality of design and who maintains personal client relations throughout the process. This attention to detail results in highly successful project execution. The NCA principals maintain professional registration in RI, MA, NH, CT, and IL, as well as certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) which may permit practice throughout the US.
